Our annual trip to Apple Hill was this past weekend. We decided to go a little earlier this year in hopes that there would be more of a pumpkin selection. So we took the drive only to discover that we are probley a little too early for all the festivities that normally accompany an Apple Hill visit.
They were out of Carmel so no Carmel apples, no funny clown entertainment. We were able to pick our pumpkins although the selection was still pretty small. We took our annual picture next to the tractor, ran through the hay maze, fed the farm animals and decided that another trip was in order a little later in the season. Any time at apple hill is always fun so the day was full of smiling boys and a very happy mom.
I love apple hill. It is so nice to support local farmers and they really get into it too. It is also nice to know that we are finally starting to develop family traditions in California. It has taken awhile but coming along.
