Home....Home at last

We spent the last week in Utah. I just felt like we needed to go home. I missed my parents and I think that the boys wanted to spend time with their dad. So on Monday I asked my boss for some time off and got on the plane on Wednesday. We got to hang out, talk and just relax. It was much needed and I am so grateful for the time that we got to spend together.

Grocery Shopping - Saving

So I have always been into saving money....ok well maybe this needed to wait until my adult life. I still splurge on some things but everyday expenses, I do all I can to save. Grocery shopping has gotten so expensive and I have been hearing a lot about how much money you can save. I did a little blog stalking and did a bunch of research on how these women are saving so much money.



I eat mostly organic including my fruit and vegetables along with canned goods and meat. This can put quite a dent in the budget but I feel that it is worth it in order to feed us the best food possible. I don't wear jeans from Kmart and I don't buy crappy food. That is just the food snob in me I guess.

I went to the grocery store this past weekend with my coupons and my normal grocery list. I did not skimp just did my normal shopping.

Grand total of savings: $34.47

These groceries will last approximately two weeks......Hopefully. I do have growing boys.

Sun Splash golfland

Finally the sun has come out in CA!!!!!!

It has been raining non stop in California lately and there never seemed to be a nice enough day to get out and do something fun. However this weekend the sun came out and it was a beautiful. I kept singing the "It's a beautiful morning ahhh ohhh" song all morning.


So we decided to go to Sunsplash golfland. We went miniature golfing, rode the go carts and played in the arcade. We had so much fun!




On the way there we stopped at the newly opened In and Out burger and you will never believe what happened. Tony my dear sweet boy has found his appetite. He had a double double. Which is a double cheeseburger, his fries, my fries, half of Cameron's cheeseburger and a drink.

Tony teaches me

Last weekend Cameron was having a sleepover at one of his friends houses and Tony decided to stay home with me. I don't know why he decided this but anytime that I can spend with him....I am taking it and not asking any questions.
We went out to dinner and were going to go see a movie but it was sold out so he asked if he could teach me how to play one of his new games on the WII.
Here are a couple of pictures. Tony thought that is was great that he could show me how to do something that I had no idea about. He was very kind and told me that I was doing fine when it was clear that he was kicking my butt.
Either way it was a great night. I love getting to do individual nights with the boys.
