Birthday's, Anniversaries, and Surprises

Me and the boys

Grandpa and Grandma checking out Casey. The newest memeber of our family. Beautiful!!!

Me and My Grandma

Me and My Papa
Last weekend we decided that we needed a trip to Utah. It was my Grandmothers 75th birthday, Papa's 80th birthday and their 58th wedding anniversary. How can a girl miss that....well I can't that is why I went. :)
It was a surprise, supposed to be a surprise. My mom let the cat out of the bag but it was still great. I don't think that our entire family has been in one place in a long time. It was really good to catch up with everyone!!!

I was so impressed with my cousin Cory. He and his wife now have two boys, Cory is an amazing father. He was playing with Jayden and Jayden couldn't get enough of it. They played ball, Cory tossed him up in the air, all good memories in the making. It reminds me how important fathers are to their children. Luckily I was blessed with an incredible father. He loves me unconditionally especially when things are not going right. I love going on walks with him and talking all the time. I could not have asked for anything more. Ok now that I am sitting here with tears running down my cheeks I have to go.

Trees and Flowers

This weekend when my parents, Grandma, and Aunt came out we went to Home Depot to look at home improvement items for the house. We went outside after looking at cabinet refacing, glass tiles back splashes, and granite. They were having a end of season sale and Aunt Diane and Grandma bought three trees and some flowers for my poor back yard.
I don't think that I have posted any pictures of how bad the yard was when we moved in but there were weeds taller than Cameron. We have been able to get the grass green and it is looking a lot better. There is a retaining wall that is meant for flowers, veg's, fruit whatever. I am not very good at landscaping and didn't even know where to begin. All of you that know my Aunt know how great she is in this area. So when she made a suggestion I was more than happy to listen.
We went out and started digging not knowing what was to come........cement instead of dirt. Not literally but might have well have been. There are so many rocks and it took about three hours to dig three holes. Thank goodness we didn't need them any bigger than we did. It is so amazing to see the difference that a little color makes in the backyard.
Dad and Diane also put together the chairs that my Mom and Dad got me for my birthday. It is sure coming along and so nice to sit outside and read in the early morning or later in the afternoon.
I cannot begin to thank them enough for all that we did over the last weekend. I love my family!!!!

Baptism

Blessings are flowing in our family. This past weekend my boys were baptised. As their Mother, I could not ask for more than for them to love the Lord as I do. They have been asking for awhile but I wanted to make sure that they fully understood what it meant to be baptised.

Plus I wanted to wait for a lake baptism. OK, admittedly this is not really something of great importance. Out here they either baptise people in the lake or in someone pool. I think you can now see why I opted for the lake baptism. It just seemed more holy......more special.

Luckily my parents, Grandma, and Aunt were able to come out and share this with us. It reminded me how lucky I am to have such a supportive family. All that way in the car to watch 10 minutes of baptism. Truly blessed.

This event was a perfect example of my boys personalities.

Tony so strong and silent. Listening to what the Pastor said to him alone. Focusing on the event. Making sure that he would remember everything about it.

Cameron making sure that the Pastor knew who he was, and remember him. They were up there having a conversation rather than the Pastor talking and just a head nod of yes. I asked him what they talked about later and here is the conversation as it was relayed to me.
Cameron: Why do we have to get baptised when it is so cold.
Pastor Brad: Well Jesus was cold in the tomb and he made that sacrifice for us.
Cameron: It wasn't cold, he had a blanket.

Molly Vet apointment

Today I took Molly down to the vet for her second set of shots and a follow up visit. She has gained 10 pounds in the month that we have had her. She weighs 60 pounds and is doing great. She had two shots and then we inserted a micro chip. This way if she ever decides to run away we will still be able to get her back. Although as I write this I think to myself obviously she is being well fed and we love her dearly so I dont know why she would ever think about leaving.
